Identification
Medium-sized toad species, reaching a length of about 10 cm, rarely more. Its snout is short and blunt and skin is very warty. Ground coloration is brown with variable large clear blotches on back. Green spots on flanks and back.
Range and habitat
The species occurs in central Africa, from south-east Nigeria and Cameroon to Gabon, east to western Central African Republic. Found in forests and secondary brush, mostly around lakes, marshes and rivers.

CITES : Not Listed
Status : The species has a large range and isn’t exploited for human consumption or trade. Locally abundant and could suffer long term from habitat loss.
