Identification
The species can grow to 6.5 cm in wingspan. Wing coloration is translucent blackish-grey with black spots except from a whole bright red area at the end of forewing and on most distal half of backwing, with black spots on it.

Range and habitat
The species is found in Africa and occurs in most of the continent south of Sahara (except from desert areas). Lives in open areas in forests, woodlands, wooded urban areas.

Status : The species hasn’t been assessed but it has a huge range and remains globally common, even within big cities.
