Identification
The species reaches up to 1.40 meters in length. Slender body, large head. Coloration is generally dark greenish-brown with bright yellow skin between scales. Lower flanks, belly and head is golden-yellow. Black belly, yellow upper neck.

Range and habitat
This species is endemic to Philippines and occurs in the Visayas Archipelago and south of the Country (islands of Mindanao, Samar, Leyte, Bohol and Camiguin). Lives in tropical forests, plantations, rice fields, woodlands, up to 800 m.

IUCN RED LIST : LEAST CONCERN

Status : The species remains globally safe within its range but some populations are declining because of persecution and overexploitation and trapping.
