Identification
Wingspan of 8 cm. Thorax and head black with white dots, abdomen whitish. Upperside of wings rufous with a row of white spots on forewing. Hindwing white. Underside tawny and rufous-brown with black and white margins.
Range and habitat
This subspecies occurs in most of tropical Asia. Species found in Asia, most of Africa and southern Europe. Lives in all kinds of habitats, from deserts to mountains, cities and forests.
